The Vertere RG-1 Reference Motor Drive is a state-of-the-art motor control system engineered to extract the maximum possible performance from the RG-1 Reference Record Player and Tonearm platform. Designed around the principle that the motor is the sole source of energy within a turntable system, the RG-1 Motor Drive focuses on delivering absolute speed stability, ultra-low distortion operation, and exceptionally low noise characteristics for uncompromising vinyl playback performance.
Developed over a two-year engineering program, the RG-1 Reference Motor Drive was specifically created to unlock the full performance potential of the RG-1 ecosystem. Utilizing advanced microprocessor control, precision waveform generation, and high-current audio amplification stages, the system delivers highly stable synchronous motor operation while preserving the natural musicality and realism of the source recording.
SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR CONTROL
The RG-1 Reference Record Player utilizes a precision synchronous motor system that locks directly to the drive signal frequency for constant rotational speed accuracy. Unlike conventional DC motor systems, this architecture maintains highly stable operation and minimizes speed deviation, resulting in improved pitch stability and musical realism.
PRECISION SPEED MANAGEMENT
The RG-1 Motor Drive incorporates advanced microprocessor-based frequency generation capable of producing highly accurate speed correction adjustments. This allows users to compensate for slight variations introduced during the mastering or cutting process, ensuring playback remains exceptionally faithful to the original source material.
ADVANCED DAC & AMPLIFICATION STAGE
Following the microprocessor stage, a high-quality internal digital-to-analog converter generates the critical analogue sine and cosine waveforms required for synchronous motor operation. These waveforms are then amplified using dedicated 20W audio amplifier stages to deliver highly stable, low-distortion motor drive performance free from unwanted noise and interference.
FULLY PROGRAMMABLE ARCHITECTURE
The RG-1 Reference Motor Drive features a fully programmable control architecture designed for long-term compatibility and precision operation. Three dedicated toroidal transformers independently power the output amplifier stages and various control sections, while fully regulated and decoupled power supply rails maintain optimal operating conditions throughout the system.
PRECISION SPEED ADJUSTMENT
A precision front-mounted rotary control provides seven selectable speed correction increments, allowing fine speed adjustment from ±0.25% up to ±3.00% around both 33rpm and 45rpm playback speeds. This sophisticated adjustment capability enables highly accurate speed matching for demanding vinyl playback applications.
PREMIUM CHASSIS CONSTRUCTION
The RG-1 Motor Drive utilizes a rigid aluminium chassis with a machined aluminium alloy outer enclosure for maximum structural stability and effective vibration management. The internal microprocessor assembly is shielded within a solid copper enclosure to provide complete electrical isolation and noise suppression.
