Audio Research DAC9 Tube Digital To Analog Converter

The DAC9 combines advanced digital processing with Audio Research’s signature vacuum-tube musicality. It supports PCM files up to 384kHz and DSD playback, using separate data paths for PCM and DSD to preserve sonic accuracy. Quad D-A converters improve dynamic range and reduce noise, while selectable digital filters and native upsampling allow flexible sound tuning. Inputs include asynchronous USB and four isolated SPDIF connections. Its balanced, Class-A, zero-feedback analog section uses two 6H30 tubes for clarity, dimensionality, dynamics and natural musical flow. Hand-built and individually auditioned in Minnesota, the DAC9 offers high-end digital performance with lasting value.
