The Rega Planar 6 Turntable is a high-performance belt-drive vinyl playback system engineered to deliver exceptional speed accuracy, ultra-low resonance behavior, and advanced analog refinement far beyond its class. Developed using technologies derived from Rega’s flagship RP8 and RP10 platforms, the Planar 6 combines ultra-lightweight construction with precision-engineered component matching for outstanding musical performance.

At the core of the Planar 6 is an ultra-light Tancast 8 polyurethane foam core plinth originally developed for the aerospace industry. This advanced structure is sandwiched between high-pressure laminate skins to create an exceptionally rigid yet lightweight platform designed to minimize energy absorption and unwanted resonance transfer. Rega’s advanced double brace technology further enhances rigidity between the tonearm mount and central hub assembly for maximum structural accuracy.

The Planar 6 also incorporates the hand-assembled RB330 precision tonearm, dual-layer float glass platter, machined aluminum sub-platter, and a custom-matched Neo MK2 power supply with individually hand-tuned 24V motor assembly. Combined with the Reference EBLT drive belt and advanced anti-vibration motor circuitry, the Planar 6 delivers highly refined rotational stability and reference-level analog playback performance for serious vinyl enthusiasts.
