Audio Research S-100 Stereo Power Amplifier

The S-100 solid-state amplifier was designed to deliver the musical engagement and purity traditionally associated with Audio Research’s Reference tube amplifiers. Featuring a fully balanced dual-mono Class A/B design with dual toroidal transformers it offers strong dynamics and doubles its power into 4-ohm loads. Bipolar transistors were selected for their transparency and natural sound quality. Housed in a sleek machined aluminum chassis with modernized Audio Research styling the S-100 combines refined aesthetics with advanced engineering. Built and voiced by ear in Minnesota alongside the company’s flagship tube products it emphasizes musicality as much as technical performance.
