At the heart of the Planar 2 is Rega’s hand-assembled RB220 precision tonearm featuring ultra-low friction bearings housed within a newly engineered lightweight bearing assembly. The RB220 also incorporates updated adjustable bias control and a custom aluminum arm tube for enhanced tracking accuracy and improved cartridge compatibility.

The Planar 2 also benefits from a low-noise 24V motor assembly, precision float glass Optiwhite platter, improved brass bearing housing, and advanced EBLT drive belt technology for highly stable rotational performance. Premium finish options, elegant modern styling, and simple setup functionality establish the Planar 2 as a sophisticated analog solution for serious music enthusiasts.
