DESIGN

Amati G5 continues Sonus faber's iconic lute-shaped cabinet architecture, combining graceful curves with carefully engineered acoustic benefits. Each cabinet is handcrafted using nine layers of wood, meticulously grain matched and finished with multiple layers of high-gloss lacquer to achieve exceptional beauty and structural integrity.

The combination of premium wood, Italian leather, and precision-machined aluminum reflects Sonus faber's dedication to traditional craftsmanship while providing a rigid, acoustically optimized enclosure capable of minimizing unwanted resonances and coloration.

DRIVERS

High frequencies are reproduced by Sonus faber's acclaimed 28mm DAD™ Arrow Point tweeter featuring a high-power neodymium motor system. The Damped Apex Dome design controls diaphragm behavior at the apex of the silk dome, extending high-frequency performance while improving detail, transparency, and off-axis consistency.

A dedicated 150mm neodymium midrange driver provides exceptional vocal clarity and tonal accuracy, while dual 220mm woofers equipped with Sonus faber's Dual Drive Motor System deliver deep, controlled bass with outstanding speed and dynamic capability.

Advanced Phase Plug technology further improves driver behavior by reducing turbulence and guiding wave propagation, resulting in smoother frequency response and improved dispersion characteristics.

ACOUSTIC TECHNOLOGIES

Amati G5 incorporates Sonus faber's proprietary Intono™ technology, which optimizes the acoustic behavior of the sealed midrange chamber to achieve more natural and transparent mid-frequency reproduction.

The Stealth Ultraflex™ reflex system enhances airflow efficiency within the bass loading structure while reducing turbulence and distortion. Constructed from extruded aluminum, the system also contributes to cabinet rigidity while adding a distinctive visual element to the loudspeaker.

The crossover network utilizes Sonus faber's renowned Phase Coherent philosophy and Level 3 implementation, featuring hand-soldered capacitors, premium Jantzen inductors, and custom high-end components selected to preserve signal integrity and maintain precise phase relationships throughout the frequency spectrum.
