Pioneer RT-707 Reel to Reel Tape Deck, Auto-reverse - Serviced

The Pioneer RT-707 is a highly regarded, reel-to-reel tape deck known for its robust 3-motor, direct-drive transport, 4-head design with auto-reverse playback, and compact, rack-mountable size, making it a popular choice for both home audio enthusiasts and studios seeking rich analog sound and reliable performance. We just had our tech with 40 years of R2R experience go through it completely.  The motors, rollers, capstans and entire transport mechanism have been cleaned and lubricated.  Heads have been demagnetized.  Found a couple of weak solder joints and they have been reworked.  Using a test tape I/O level have been set.  Azimuth qnd levels , EQ, all calibrated.  The controls are tight and clean.  Every feature functions as it should.  The head has some wear but if you ever want it perfect they are still available for replacement.  Still sounds great.

CONDITION 

Cosmetically excellent face.  Some scratches and paint scuffs on the sides and top.  Fully functional and operational.  No smoke or smells.
