Featuring a 12-inch all-carbon fiber driver inspired by REL's flagship No.31 Reference, a powerful 900-watt amplifier, and an expanded cabinet design, Carbon Special Black Label delivers breathtaking speed, authority, transparency, and dynamic impact.

Designed for the most demanding music and home theater systems, Carbon Special Black Label excels as a single subwoofer, stereo pair, or full REL Line Array. Its combination of immense power, effortless low-frequency extension, and remarkable musical nuance allows it to perform at a level normally reserved for systems costing many times more.

DESIGN

Inspired by REL's Reference Series, Carbon Special Black Label features refined cabinet proportions, exclusive black crown inlays, curved stainless-steel handles, and precision-machined aluminum leveling cylinders integrated into the chassis rails. Thick internal aluminum reinforcement provides exceptional rigidity while supporting safe and secure Line Array installations.

Every Carbon Special Black Label includes a Premium Wood Grille that enhances both airflow and visual elegance. The cabinet is finished in luxurious 8-coat Piano Black lacquer, creating a striking appearance worthy of its flagship performance.

DRIVER

At the heart of Carbon Special Black Label is a newly developed 12-inch all-carbon fiber active driver featuring a carbon fiber cone and inverted carbon fiber center cap. Engineered to handle three times the peak power of its predecessor, the driver utilizes a newly designed suspension system that allows more than 60mm of excursion while maintaining exceptional control and composure.

Complementing the active driver is a hand-selected 12-inch down-firing Carbon/Carbon passive radiator built to the tightest tolerances in the Serie S range. This advanced passive radiator provides superior pistonic behavior, improved transparency, greater dynamic authority, and deeper low-frequency extension.

AMPLIFIER

Powering Carbon Special Black Label is a massive 900-watt hybrid amplifier that combines the current delivery and authority of large Class A/B monoblocks with the efficiency and speed of a modern Class D output stage. Supported by a substantial 15-pound power transformer and extensive heatsinking, the amplifier can sustain peaks of up to 1,250 watts while maintaining complete control and composure.

REL's renowned 100% analog filter architecture includes the legendary High-Level connection alongside RCA and XLR low-level inputs, ensuring seamless integration into both audiophile two-channel systems and high-performance home theaters. The ability to simultaneously utilize High-Level and .1/LFE inputs allows music and movie playback to perform at their absolute best without compromise.

WIRELESS

Carbon Special Black Label is compatible with REL's optional AirShip Direct wireless system. AirShip Direct transmits both High-Level and .1/LFE signals simultaneously while preserving the speed, dynamics, transparency, and tonal integrity required for true reference-level performance.
