The Q150 proves that the best things come in small packages. A Uni-Q driver and CFD port mean it punches way above its weight. Q Series bookshelf speakers excel in small spaces. KEF’s Uni-Q driver array plus Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) port tech equals high resolution and big sound.
KEF’s groundbreaking Uni-Q driver arrangement operates by housing a discrete tweeter in the center of the mid-range (treble/bass) unit. This allows both the entire sound field created by the speaker to originate from a single point in space, meaning every sound in the entire spectrum reaches your ears with precise alignment. This produces a truly natural sound; a sound capable of convincing the listener they are hearing a live performance. Because the audio originates from a single point, you can stand anywhere in the room and hear a performance more precise and realistic than other speakers can provide.
So while at first glance the Q150 may appear to only have one driver (per speaker), what you are seeing are two independent drivers, working together to give you an unmatched experience.
